Russia, a superpower nation has showcased their might with their nuclear artillery many times. And now they have revealed a new generation of nuclear-powered missiles, which got some quirky names after a public vote by the Russian military.
Hailed by President Vladimir Putin as invincible, these weapons of mass destruction earned these names when more than seven million people took part in the votings.
The names which made the final cut include ‘Peresvet,’ after a medieval warrior monk, for a laser and ‘Burevestnik,’ after a seabird, for a cruise missile.
