Runyon Roots: Stacie Lloyd


Stacie Antoinette Lloyd, the youngest of six children, was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. Named after a well-known local prosecutor, Antoinette Cordingley, she always had a knack for getting her point across. With her parents originally from Alabama, some of her earliest and fondest memories involved traveling down I-65 with her family to visit relatives near Birmingham, Alabama where she had plenty of time to hone her verbal skill set.

Stacie always loved school and, for as long as she can remember, she dreamed of becoming an accountant. During her time at Charity Dye #27 Grade School and Thomas Edison #47 Middle School, she also discovered her passion for running track and singing in the choir, not necessarily in that order. At Emmerich Manual High School, she followed her musical inclinations by joining the Glee Club, where they would dress up and sing at local nursing homes. But despite rewarding times onstage, her love for numbers and education ultimately won her over.

After high school, Stacie briefly attended IUPUI before earning her Associate Degree in Accounting and Business from Indiana Business College (IBC) in downtown Indianapolis. While there, she worked in the attendance office as part of a work-study program, which led to her promotion as a financial aid analyst. This position perfectly combined her love of math with her outgoing personality, making it a role she enjoyed for the next 23 years. Stacie’s career in financial aid took her to several institutions, including Brown Mackie College, Martin University—where she served as the Director of Financial Aid—Aviation Institute of Maintenance, Lincoln College of Technology, Med-Tech College, and back to IBC Anderson.

While at IBC, Stacie also pursued further education, taking classes at Northwood University and earning her Bachelor's Degree in Business in 2006. Always striving to advance her knowledge, she continued her studies at Indiana Wesleyan, where she earned her Master’s in Management in 2008. Her dissertation focused on employment insurance versus Health Savings Accounts (HSA).

In 2018, Stacie transitioned from the financial aid industry and joined the Runyon team as our Accounts Receivable Director. Known for her positivity and love of affirmations, she is always smiling and brings joy and enthusiasm to the entire building. Stacie has two children, Isiah, who lives in Arizona, and Aisha, who lives in Indy. She’s also been blessed with three grandchildren, with one on the way. Despite family obligations and a busy career, she has never lost her love for music, with rhythm & blues and contemporary gospel being her favorite genres. In her free time, she enjoys clearance shopping and listening to audiobooks. An avid walker, Stacie can often be found “getting her steps in” throughout the day, cheerfully greeting both customers and employees. We are incredibly grateful for Stacie’s buoyant personality that energizes our workplace, and we look forward to sharing a bright and upbeat future with her as she continues to express her love for both people and numbers.
