RunThrough Announces Frome Running Festival in Support of Dorothy House Hospice Care

Somerset, UK: RunThrough, the UK's largest and Europe’s fastest-growing running events company, is excited to announce the Frome Running Festival, an addition to the RunThrough event calendar and our very first event in Somerset. Scheduled for Sunday, August 18th, this running festival will support the vital work of Dorothy House Hospice Care as the event's Charity of the Year.

We invite runners of all abilities to join us for a day of racing and community spirit with our 5k, 10k, and Half Marathon events. Each race will start and finish at the picturesque Old Showfield, offering a variety of scenic routes for participants to enjoy.

The 5k and 10k routes will weave through the charming streets of Frome Town Centre, while the Half Marathon will extend into the stunning Somerset countryside, including a pass by the historic English Heritage site of Nunney Castle. All races will take place on a single loop, road-closed circuit to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants.

We are proud to partner with Dorothy House Hospice Care for this event. Dorothy House provides compassionate care and support for those with life-limiting illnesses in the community, and we are committed to helping them continue their essential work through this festival.

The Frome Running Festival is a well-established event within the community, and we are honoured to continue this tradition with support from previous organisers. With races for all levels, from the 5k to the Half Marathon, there’s something for everyone. Participants will enjoy a mix of town centre views and countryside landscapes, making for a unique and enjoyable race experience.

RunThrough will organise and deliver 270 events in 2024, with over 285,000 participants, including the Running GP at Goodwood Motor Circuit, the Hertfordshire Half Marathon and 10k and the Fulham 10k.
