Running Towards Ukrainian Victory

Today I ran a 10k and received a medal.

But this accomplishment meant much more to me than a personal victory. With every step I took, a single thought in my mind was : Victory! Victory for the nation, Victory for the soldiers, Victory for Ukraine!?

I dedicate this medal to all Ukrainians and to our allies who fight for our freedom.

It's a bittersweet feeling to run in a race while knowing that my beloved country and my city, Kyiv, is constantly bombed and its people are living on the edge. The sound of explosions and the fear in the air are constant reminders of the challenging times we face.?

Yet, despite the chaos, we continue to run, to move forward, because movement symbolises our resilience and determination to survive.

Even though I may be physically distant from my homeland at this moment, my heart and soul remain deeply rooted in Ukraine. Every step I took today was not just for myself but for all who call my beautiful country their home who refuse to be broken and keep fighting.

To my fellow Ukrainians, this medal represents our strength and unity.?

We have faced awful times but together we stand tall for the brighter future.?

This medal belongs to each and every one of you, for your resistance, your bravery and your spirit.

To our allies, who have stood and standing by our side, this medal is a symbol of gratitude and appreciation. Your support has been crucial in our fight for freedom, and we are forever grateful and will never ever will forget about it.

As I proudly wear this medal around my neck, I carry the hopes and dreams of a nation with me.?

I run not just for personal reasons, but to honour all of the heroic soldiers who give everything they have to protect our land and people. This medal I wear I dedicate to these brave men and women who sacrifice their own lives for Ukrainian freedom.

My city and country may be scarred, my people may be living in fear for their lives, we carry the weight of all tragedies in our hearts but we have to find the strength to carry on.?

Our spirit and soul cannot be vanished.

In the face of extreme challenges, we run. We run for our freedom, for our loved ones, and for the hope of a better tomorrow. With every step, we move closer to victory.

Together we will rise and together we will win!
