You’ve seen it all, through ages..
The tired old leaves and dusty pages

Of folly and love and aspirations abound
Of centuries hope plodding this ground

So what hope for me 
With heaving chest and crunching knee

To make an impact through your rustling green
To make the ripples nobody has seen 

The curse of the creative 
The downfall assertive 

Yet i’ll dream on like people do
To make giant splashes in your blue

To make a mark indelible there 
Across your time old branches 

And fresh bright air…
