Running from rules with Stevan

Running from rules with Stevan

A Leader's job can seem both challenging and exciting, so we decided to have a chat with one of ours and find out about his motivation and work ethic.

What is the first thing that comes to mind when you hear “digitec Galaxus”?

I think of our people, their kindness and openness. When I first came to digitec, I realized immediately that I came into the group of nice people always ready to help. The company went through many changes since I came here and despite that, everyone was ready to assist and cooperate. Our people here are honest.

?You get a CHF 10000.- voucher for our platform, what is the first thing you buy?

?Many would think of consumer electronics and technology I’m sure, but I am not a technology freak. To be honest, I would first ask my parents if there is anything that they need. My dad always inherits laptops or phones from us, so it would be nice for him to have something cool and new technology-wise. Then I would ask my siblings the same and only then think of myself. I would definitely purchase clothes, first and foremost sneakers. I have 30 pairs of sneakers already and it is safe to say that I am a sneakers fan (laughs). I would also buy some noise cancelling headphones as I need them at the moment.

Which one of our company values do you consider the best? Which one describes you the best?

?Piratisch! That is what connects all of us, there are no rigid, strict and tiresome rules. As Zabunovi? says: “run from rules forever!” (laughs). Piratisch describes me and my work ethic the best.

?What is the best day in the office that you gladly remember?

?It was so funny when I first came to digitec, I climbed onto the third floor, Du?ko and Dani were sitting on the sofa and Du?ko said that it was good to have me here as there are a lot of changes going on, I came just in time. I love Beer Fridays as well, I love them very much and they are always nice. Every person makes the vibe better and every time we chill on the balcony on the seventh floor is relaxing and wonderful. People don’t talk about the work, which is good (laughs). I came to this company from an extremely cold and 100% work-oriented office. The situation here is different, I like that.

What is the hardest part of your job?

?Nothing is too complicated, though these everlasting changes and repositioning of people in different departments is a bit exhausting, but I wouldn’t say it’s hard. Even when the work is tiresome, everything is always in perfect order. Coordination, who can help where can be complicated at times, but nothing too hard. We go with the flow always, all of us. Everyone responds immediately, finding volunteers is easy and everyone cooperates easily and harmoniously. ???
