Remember where you are, but more importantly where "they are". Too many times we come to the table with a wealth of knowledge and experience and our customers are not in that realm. Let me give you a scenario.
When you arrive at a 500m dash, where do you start? Not at the 250m marker. Doesn't matter if you have all the new equipment, or are a seasoned runner; you need to start at the beginning. Everyone starts there. During the run your expertise and tools will begin to show and that's where you will shine.
Knowing where your customer is will help set you up for success by being there from the start. The alternative? A false start.
