Run For Manchester
Friends and colleagues,
It is the Great Manchester Run once again this weekend. I was not planning to run for charity this year but following the horrific events at the Manchester Arena on Monday night I would like to call for your support for the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund.
Within a few hours of the incident a friend of my partner was reported missing. On Tuesday night we lit a candle of hope at an impromptu vigil held outside our local church. Sadly on Wednesday morning the dreadful news came through that he had been one of the victims.
But Manchester remains a City United and its people of all ages and backgrounds stand together in the face of the enemies of humanity. And on Sunday we will run together to celebrate all that we value and cherish.
We must not forget the victims and families of this dreadful atrocity. I have not created a Fund Raising page as I want the money raised to go direct to the charity. Please take the time to visit www.redcross.org.uk/manchester and show your support.
Thank you, John Evans
