Run for a good cause?

The Italian Presales team @DellTechnologies – as well the entire community of colleagues – always had the commitment to support charity organizations.

During the lockdown period, the Italian Charities suffered a lot, both for the difficulties to provide their support and assistance to people and for the limitations to raise funds.

Since mid May, La Gazzetta dello Sport - the most popular Italian sports newspaper - organized virtual runs, where everyone runs alone to respect the guidelines to prevent the spread of Covid, but virtually connected with all other runners:

·        On My 30th and 31st, the AISMSocialRun, to support the Associazione Italiana Sclerosi Multipla.

·        On July 4th and 5th, the GazzettaMarathOne “A million step, a unique heart” to support other charities. In this event, one of the charities to be supported was DynamoCamp.

Dynamo Camp hosts children from 6 to 17 years with serious and chronic pathologies who are both in therapy and in the post hospitalization stage free of charge. Dynamo Camp also offers programs designed ad hoc for the whole family and programs for the healthy brothers and sisters in the awareness that an illness does not just affect the sick child, but the whole family. The program consists of a wide offer of fun creative and expressive activities, structured on the basis of the Recreational Therapy model. Every activity can be interpreted as a personal challenge, constructive and without elements of competition.

This org is part of the SeriousFun Children’s Network, a worldwide non-profit association and which is born from the dream of the actor Paul Newman – founder of the first camp in the United States in 1988 – and which since then has been the promoting force for these therapeutic experiences for sick children.

The “Presales + Friends Runners team” with Cinzia Serra, David Ambrosin, Marco Galanti, Alessandro Luppi and Alberto Bastianon participated to the two events.
