The Rumble in the Whitehouse

Yesterday, we witnessed the depths to which the leader of the American people will stoop and the abhorrent bullying behaviour of Donald Trump and JD Vance, was visible for all to see.

Trump wanted a 'business deal' whilst President Zelenskyy wanted peace for his country and to stop more of his people dying. Trump and Vance wanted 'gratitude' from Zelenskyy and bullied and talked over him throughout, whilst the Ukrainian president tried to explain the terrible things that are happening in his country at the hands of an aggressor.

I don't usually dedicate a blog to something like this, but having listened to the discussions on the radio yesterday whilst driving home from the Midlands, I really couldn't believe what I was hearing and am disgusted by it. For those that couldn't hear it all because of Trump and Vance constantly talking over President Zelenskyy, here is the main offensive part of the discussion, kindly typed out by someone this morning...

It won't happen because of his ego, but I really feel both Donald Trump and JD Vance should step down today. YES, this is THAT serious.

We stand on the verge of a third world war this morning, because Putin will have seen this growing divide and will know only too well, that now is probably his biggest opportunity to not only achieve his ambitions to re-establish the USSR, but to also capitalise on the weakness of NATO and the divisions between Europe and the USA right now. Putin also knows he has other nuclear powers as allies, such as China and North Korea.

My own parents lived through a world war and my father was serving in the Royal Navy during that war. The stories I and others of my age were told, are enough to want us NEVER to have experience a third world war, especially now that nuclear destruction would probably be the end result.

Some reading this will say "that will never happen" just as so many did in 1939.
