Rules that keeps me going.
I have learned from other marketers that owning a business and handling your own marketing can be fun, but tiresome as well.Sometimes you just get excited and ready to shout to the world about your business and other times you don't know what your business is all about.
Persist ; in spite of difficulty, opposition, or failure, keep existing.Don’t wait for your competitors to do something do it first. This could be a promotion, event, advertising campaign.Just like the saying goes, the early bird catches the worm.
Ideas;Get creative, have something with your business info on it that people will use over and over again.Focus on quality more over quantity, this is because sometimes we focus on the number of fans we get either on social media or elsewhere. This could lead to thousands of funs who in return bring as low as 30%sales.
Serve;Everything has to be intentional, know the reason for your business.Sometimes we tell ourselves we are marketing because we need customers, but again i ask myself why then am doing the marketing activities i have chosen.I have to create relationships with my customers. This will keep them coming.
Push;Putting yourself and your business out there is never easy you and won’t survive if you stay within your shell. You have to seek out ideas and opportunities to grow you as a business owner and to grow your business. Michael Dell once said, “if you’re the smartest person in the room, find another room.”
Passion; don't just open up a business for the sake of thriving and to gain popularity, have love for your business.Treat your customers like you’d want to be treated by your favorite business.
Focus;having a marketing plan is a lifesaver, if you go by the seat of your pants, you’ll drown. Your marketing plan will direct you to the right marketing activities and give you something to keep you accountable.
Improve;there are only so many hours in the day. Look at what your customers are using and use that. Just because there are lots of social media platforms, that doesn’t mean you have to do them all.
If you don't have a website, you are majorly missing out, because people will always look for you in the web.
