Ironbark picks up lithium-rare earths-niobium projects in Brazil
Ironbark Zinc (ASX:IBG) is acquiring a package of projects in Brazil considered prospective for lithium, rare earths and niobium.
The junior explorer has agreed to buy Perseverance Lithium, which owns seven projects collectively known as the Perseverance Project in the northeastern Minas Gerais region of Brazil, for $100,000.
Ironbark says the project is located in the geological extensions of the Lithium Valley, a politically defined area including the towns of Salinas and Ara?uaí that sit adjacent to the mines and JORC/NI 43-101 compliant resources of CBL, Sigma Lithium (TSX-V:SGML) and Latin Resources (ASX:LRS).

Minbos teams up with Talus for Capanda development
Minbos Resources (ASX:MNB) has signed a non-binding collaboration agreement with energy technology company Talus Renewables to develop the Capanda Green Ammonia Project in Angola.
Both companies will work together and use their combined resources to optimise the deployment of Talus’ green ammonia technology to efficiently match local inputs with local markets.
Under the agreement, Talus will deploy its technology, TalusAg, which is a first-to-market green ammonia system that enables sustainable and cost-effective ammonia production. The technology extracts hydrogen from water and combines it with atmospheric nitrogen to produce liquid ammonia.
Robert Friedland gets behind Power Nickel’s ‘oversubscribed’ $22 million raising
Toronto-headquartered Power Nickel (TSX-V:PNPN) has closed its recent C$20 million ($22 million) flow-through offer “oversubscribed” and backed by well-known mining personalities including billionaire investor Robert Friedland.
The junior explorer raised around C$20.1 million via the issue of 16.05 million flow-through units at C$1.25 each.
Each unit comprised one flow-through common share and half of one share purchase warrant, with each warrant exercisable for one common share at C$1.25 within three years.
Patriot Battery Metals hits more lithium at CV5 ahead of resource update
Ahead of releasing an updated mineral resource, Patriot Battery Metals (ASX:PMT) has received drilling results showing further lithium mineralisation over wide intervals at the CV5 deposit in Québec, Canada.
The drilling at CV5, which sits within the Corvette property, returned 124.9m @ 1.72% lithium oxide, including 13.4m @ 4.04% lithium oxide; and 135.7m @ 1.02% lithium oxide, including 44.7m @ 2.03% lithium oxide.
Vice President of Exploration Darren Smith says these final results demonstrate the scale of mineralisation over a “significant” strike length.

Faraday confirms near-surface copper potential at American Eagle
The latest round of results from Faraday Copper’s (TSX:FDY) drilling in the American Eagle area has provided the company with confidence of the potential to increase open pit resources at its Copper Creek Project in Arizona, US.?
Two of the nine holes drilled as part of the phase-three program were designed to test the near-surface mineralisation potential above the underground resource at American Eagle.
One hole returned a peak intercept of 20.07m @ 1.20% copper, 0.0997% molybdenum and 6.8 grams per tonne (g/t) silver from 406.58m.?
Australian power price hikes highlight dire need for diverse energy supply
The Australian monthly consumer price index (CPI) has risen 4% in the 12 months to May 2024 with the biggest price increases across fuel (9.3%), rent (7.4%), and electricity (6.5%).
The CPI is a general measure of prices for goods and services purchased by Australian households. Changes in the CPI provide a measure of household inflation.
The index is up from a 3.6% increase in the 12 months to April.
EQ Resources hits weekly production records at Mt Carbine, Saloro
EQ Resources (ASX:EQR) has hit new weekly production records this month at both of its tungsten operations at Mt Carbine in Australia and its Saloro operation in Spain.?
At Mt Carbine in Queensland, production hit 70.4 tonnes of 50% tungsten oxide concentrate in a seven-day period, with a daily record of 13.6 tonnes of 50% tungsten oxide concentrate.?
EQ, which has a market capitalisation of $92.91 million, says the 16% improvement in weekly production at Mt Carbine was driven by higher-grade ore delivered from the Andy White open it and the upgrade to the XRT Sorter #2, which yielded higher throughput.?
Great Dirt at Doherty with massive manganese mineralisation
Great Dirt Resources (ASX:GR8) reports up to 50.3% manganese from its most recent round of soil and rock chip sampling at the Doherty Project in New South Wales.
The company, which has a market capitalisation of $6.5 million, says field investigation of geophysical targets has resulted in the discovery of massive manganese mineralisation south of Neranghi.
“High-grade” mineralisation was discovered in both outcrops and floaters and traced for over 650m northeast to southwest.
