Rule #3: Stop Taking Life So Seriously (Seriously)

Rule #3: Stop Taking Life So Seriously (Seriously)

Let's be real for a minute: life is a hot mess. We’re all just stumbling around, trying to figure things out, and honestly, no one really knows what they’re doing. But here’s the problem: we’re all taking it way too seriously. It’s like we’re walking around with a stick up our collective… you get the point.

The thing is, you’re going to screw up. You’re going to make mistakes, say the wrong thing, and maybe trip on a sidewalk when everyone’s watching. And guess what? It doesn’t matter because everyone else is so busy worrying about their own stuff that they’re not paying attention to yours.

So why not laugh at yourself a little bit?

I’m talking about finding humour in those awkward, cringe, totally unglamorous moments of life. Spilled coffee on your shirt right before a big meeting? Well, now you’ve got a conversation starter. Did you accidentally reply to an email that should’ve been private? Congrats, you’re officially memorable.

We’re all trying so hard to be perfect, to impress people, to come across as having our lives all figured out. But newsflash: no one has their life figured out. We’re all winging it, making it up as we go, and hoping nobody notices. And the sooner we can accept that, the sooner we can stop wasting time pretending and just start living.

So, here’s your permission slip to stop taking life so damn seriously. Laugh a little more. Let stuff roll off your back. And the next time you make a fool of yourself, just remember: you’re in good company.

Reflection:?What's one thing that didn’t go your way this week? How can you find some humour in it instead of stress?

I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Until next week,
