RugbyDAO June Community Update

Hi RugbyDAO Family,?

?It's hard to believe we're already halfway through 2024. We're pleased to share the progress we've made and the steps we're taking to build a strong, pioneering Rugby community that aims to shape the next 200 years of the game. This past month, our focus has been behind the scenes working to enhance our infrastructure and platform to ensure a seamless and collaborative community experience.

What's going on in the world of Rugby?

In the world of rugby, we've seen some significant developments:

  • “LIV Rugby” continues to make waves across the rugby community. Is it real? Is it viable ? Time will tell.?
  • The Canadian women's team has successfully retained the lineal World Cup, a testament to their skill and dedication. More details here.
  • Attendance at the various finals, showcasing the sport's growing popularity and engagement: ?

?? Premiership Final?

The Premiership Final?at Twickenham Stadium between Northampton Saints and Bath Rugby attracted a capacity crowd of 81,688, a peak television audience of 1.25 million?and was the fastest ever sell out for a Premiership Final.

DAO Achievements

We've had several notable achievements this month:

  • Our "Humans of the DAO" segment has launched, where we aim to shine a light on the incredible individuals within our community and foster deeper connections. You can see the inaugural edition on Chris Mastaglio here and we’d love to tell your story, so if you are interested please fill in this form
  • Productive meetings with Rugby Europe opened up new avenues for innovative strategies and ritual frameworks that enhance new value creation, universal access, and connected fan experiences. More information here.

?

  • We're excited to announce our partnership with Kalder. This collaboration will open the doors to our Member’s Lounge, the first room in our Digital Clubhouse. We’ll invite our Founding Members to join the Member’s Lounge as a more familiar onramp into topics, squads and bridge the gap to Discord, building stronger participation and engagement within this key cohort.
  • RugbyDAO has initiated early stage testing with X+Y Market Intelligence to join our ecosystem partner programme.?

DAO Growth

The following metrics are for the period of May 2023?

DAO Pipeline

Looking ahead, we have several exciting discussions and initiatives in the pipeline:

  • We are in talks with several rights holders which promise to expand our reach and impact, details to be shared soon.
  • Behind the scenes, we're moving servers to prepare for our upcoming infrastructure changes, ensuring a smoother experience for all.
  • We are building a Community Moderator and Management Squad. If you are interested in contributing to the DAO, get in touch with david@therugbydao.com for more details.
  • We are in the final phases of negotiating a blockchain partnership that will super power our roadmap and enable our DAO tooling to coordinate our efforts at scale.

DAO Challenges

As can be expected, we've also faced some challenges:

  • A change in personnel at Hurricanes has delayed our proposed 4TH-KIT launch during the season. While we aim to work with them in the future, we are currently seeking other teams for this launch. We are discussing alternative rights holders and also welcome any introductions or recommendations.

Thank you all for your continued support and contributions. Together, we're building something remarkable.

Best Regards,

Leanne Bats ??
