Sharma's writings have been instrumental in shaping my understanding of the fluid dynamics of global economies.

During my Masters program, I was completely enthralled by macroeconomics and Environmental Macroeconomics as they gave the biggest picture of the working model of an economy. His book, "Breakout Nations," was entertaining for me back then as it gave a big-picture view of the global economies and the slowing economies of BRIC and where to look forth.

To identify the economic stars of the future we should abandon the habit of extrapolating from the recent past and lumping wildly diverse countries together. We need to remember that sustained economic success is a rare phenomenon. After years of rapid growth, the most celebrated emerging markets―Brazil, Russia, India, and China―are about to slow down. Which countries will rise to challenge them?

It left a lasting impression on me, providing a multi-dimensional view of what makes an economy thrive. I'm eternally grateful for his insights, which have enriched my economic literacy and added depth to my perspective as I penned "The Internet of Value."

His ability to discern macroeconomic trends and narrate them with a blend of anecdotal charm and analytical rigor is truly commendable and there's a lot to learn there.

Thank you, Ruchir!
