Rubrik, time to move on....
What a year. Most of 2017, for me, from a work perspective, was strongly connected with rocket-ship Rubrik.
My assignment: building out the EMEA Inside Sales Team, from the Netherlands.
When that mission changed and became a more decentralised one, I -for personal reasons- was no longer the ideal candidate.
As in any healthy relationship, sometimes it doesn’t work out and you (I) have to move on.
Uncomfortable? Certainly.
However, after the initial shock, prospects are looking great.
I feel privileged that my passion, skills and experience regarding Business Development and Inside Sales are still very much in demand.I say this with a happy face and in all modesty.
Time to say goodbye officially and most of all thank you very much to Rubrik.
Thank you for the experience, the (many) lessons learned and most of all the fantastic people I could work with. To name a few (and sorry if I forget anybody): Karl Driesen, Scott Slover, Chun Yip, Jelle Maes, Amanda Willsteed Marcel Griffioen, Roel van der Meij, Jerry Rijnbeek and Mark Boeijen and many more.
Also, a Big Thank you, Bipul for the opportunity, your wisdom and spirit.
And last but not least, thank you, my fantastic team of Mavericks. You are great, each in your own way and I have no doubts about your current and future successes.
Thank you for supporting me through the rough waters we also encountered and I’m sure we’ll meet again.

For now, on to green(er) pastures.
Don’t know what the rest of 2018 will bring, but the start is fantastic, with really interesting projects at InSided and CIONET (I’m going to call you, Chun).
