Rubric for Building Rubrik

“Heroes get remembered, but legends never die,” Babe Ruth famously said. When we came together to form Rubrik, we envisioned creating a long-lasting, successful company. Company building for the long haul entails examining and designing every aspect of the business carefully. Delivering great products is only half the equation. How we achieve it is equally, if not more, important.

A Fresh Perspective

Innovation is the reason for our existence. We are fanatical about making our customers’ lives better by building game-changing products. Achieving user delight through simplicity makes our world go round. We identify core issues, and use a fresh new approach to solve these problems. Case in point: our engineers come mostly from the consumer world (Facebook, Google) and use these learnings to solve deep enterprise infrastructure problems. We care more about capability than experience.

Enduring Institution

We are building an institution that is meritocratic, risk-taking, and transparent. Our team is a melting pot of diverse talents, experience, and culture. Lunch at Rubrik is like a big, noisy Sunday family dinner—everybody eats together. We foster collaboration and facilitate communication by sharing an open workspace and using tools like Slack.

Design Orientation

Design is core to our DNA. This goes beyond making things beautiful. We treat every touch-point, inward or outward, with design in mind. Our website, our packaging, our UI, our sales and customer support – these are interaction points that reflect what Rubrik stands for within our customer and partner community.
