Red River Credit Union (RRCU)
Blending the lines between credit union and community
On Saturday, February 4th, RRCU participated in Shreveport’s 35th Annual Black History Month Parade alongside other businesses, schools, and community groups in Northwest Louisiana. The parade celebrates “unity and strength while making an economic impact that benefits the entire community of Shreveport, Louisiana.” This event has grown from the first year only have 50 people in attendance and 500 parade participants to now over 150,000 people in attendance and over 8,000 parade participants.
Chasheika Davidson, Teller Supervisor at our Lakeshore Drive Branch in Shreveport, said, “Don’t sit down and wait for the opportunities to come.?Get up and make them.?-Madam C.J. Walker” RRCU did just that by participating in the Black History Parade for the second year. Our members and the community are seeing that we take pride in servicing them and we stand for the inclusion of all people."
RRCU is dedicated to celebrating diversity in our communities and membership base. We are proud to partner with other businesses and community organizations to uplift and include all people groups of different backgrounds and history.?
