Diana Braun voted Realtor of the Year

At the 99th annual installation of RRAR Officers & Directors, Teresa Pitt was officially sworn in as President for 2023. Over 300 people were in attendance at The Angus Barn for the gala.

During her inaugural speech, Pitt told her fellow RRAR members that she was "honored, committed, and excited to serve as your 2023 President".

Pitt also laid out some of her strategic goals as RRAR President. Here are some of the 2023 goals set by President Pitt:

• Engaging with members where they are, utilizing various communications vehicles & strategies

• Develop metrics for success in adopting DEI principles throughout RRAR

• Increase professional development opportunities related to global real estate by expanding partnerships in the global & economic sectors

• Expand member engagement through participation in community service and the RRAR Realtor Giving Network

Pitt closed her speech with this advice: "Volunteer leadership remains the driving force behind the excellence we strive to provide to RRAR members."

Other Officers sworn in to the 2023 Executive Committee were Tim McBrayer (President Elect), Sharon Gupton (Secretary-Treasurer), and Leslie Williams (Past President). Traditionally, naming the Realtor of the Year Award is also part of the Inaugural Gala. This year's award was given to Diana Braun, President of RRAR in 2018.

Braun was already slated to give the inspirational message at the beginning of the festivities. But the Realtor of the Year is a surprise announcement to members. Rest assured, Braun said she was surprised!

"When I heard my name announced, my heart was racing - I stood up and turned around- my family was standing behind me which was an extraordinary surprise. I was totally shocked!" Braun shared after the ceremony.

A couple days after earning this award, Braun took time to reflect on her time with RRAR: "Since 2008, I have loved our Association. I'm grateful for our incredible?staff, our leadership team, and our members.?Together we give back to our communities."
