Routines Create Momentum

What is the number one most important part of your weekly routine? Or do you fly by the seat of your pants each day?
At the end of each week I sit down and I ask myself 4 simple but extraordinary questions.
> What went right?
> What am I grateful for?
> Where do I need to learn?
> What will I do next week?
Each week I want to actively look for success. Because here's what happens, and you know this as a business owner. We'll focus on where we miss. We'll focus on the things we still have to do. We're not naturally driven to acknowledge where we have achieved success. So, that first question is crucial to find what's giving you momentum.

What gives me momentum are the successes and awareness I bring to my clients and myself.
I take the time once a week to literally revel in everything that was amazing. I write it out and I recognize it.
Then, I move onto thinking about what I need to move forward. I think about where I’m feeling frustrated and what’s slowing me down? It might be that I need help scheduling my calendar or clarification on where we’re at with a project. I write it down so that my team knows how to help me.
I’m not the only one in our company who completes this every week, every member of my team submits a report and I read them all. I don't need to go looking anywhere for answers, my team tells me exactly what I need to know and they know exactly where we all need help.
This is an exercise in perspective. It is incredibly motivating, connecting, and fulfilling for everyone on the team to have an understanding of where the challenges are and what level of success we're creating.
If you're looking to get more out of every single week, answering those 4 little questions will change everything for you. This is the single most important part of my weekly routine for long term success.
I want to help you understand what you need to charge towards your goals. As business owners here's a fact, we're not going to slow down, stop, or quit moving forward. We will always be pressing for more. Don't let yourself feel like you can't make progress because you absolutely can. Try this with yourself and your team.
