There are 3 routes to become Professional Engineer in Malaysia.

  1. Pass Professional Assessment Examination (PAE) conducted by BEM
  2. Pass Enhanced Professional Interview (PI) conducted by IEM and become Corporate Member of IEM (MIEM)
  3. Become chartered engineer from oversea bodies (Imeche, ICheme, IEEE, EI etc)

for me, i choose route no 2. it take me around 1 year from submitting all required report until i get my certificate in February 2020.

For those who are pursuing your professional certificates (whatever they are). be patient and perseverance. Do follow through until succeed.
