Four years ago we knew we had to do something when we saw every single judge in Harris County be replaced by liberal and unqualified community saboteurs. Now, Harris County is the crime capital of the USA.
I and a group of long time trusted friends and business colleagues were looking around for an independent self funded organization that would:
1) Fund research into the background of candidates and elected officials, working with other conservatives, trusted researchers, private investigators if needed and attorneys and that would report that information to our fellow voters.
2) Organize business owners, "C" level executives and credentialed professionals (CPA, PE, MD's, PhD's, etc...) to establish a legislative agenda at the municipal, state and federal level and see that agenda through.
3) Become the responsible leadership in their local communities and coordinate at a greater level such that Woodlands/Spring, Clear Lake, Sugarland/Ft. Bend, Katy, Houston Metro could work together for a better Houston and Harris County.
We knew that small business owners, credentialed professionals and the local business "C" Level professionals were more than 80% of employment in their communities.
This one segment is the #1 target of regulation and taxation in the United States and pay the majority of taxes. Yet, they were so busy running their businesses, growing their enterprises, and making their small businesses successful they simply were NOT represented as an essential and strategically important part of a healthy ecosystem.
Unscrupulous lawmakers have systematically targeted small business owners for decades as their go to source for tax revenues because it was such a large pool of money and employement. They then use the taxes extracted from the very producers in the community to further regulate, fine, tax and fund their vote pandering schemes to continue the cycle. All the while handing out gigantic tax deferrals and tax abatements to large corporations and then give massive campaign donations to generations of elected law makers and taxing authorities.

So, there we were, beginning to understand the fix, the scam, the corrupt machine that had become our local, state and federal government.
A handful of local business leaders and owners right here in Harris County, Texas...Ronnie, Robin, Lacey, Harrison, Barry, Rebecca, Mark, Dr.'s Jackson, Patel, Jasani, Gayle, Jason, Rachel, Mark, Gina, Nickolas, David, Darby, Chase, Chris, David and others where the early think-tank that shaped the BIZPAC organization, gave it focus and began this crazy wild ride of organizing the mavericks in business.
If there is one thing that working with successful entrepreneurs, angel investors and credentialed professionals had taught me over the last 30 years, it was that they are the most hard headed, independent minded determined, hardest working, ingenious, resourceful, survivalist on the planet. Finding a way for these highly independent leaders to begin working together has been the test, frustration and thrill of my career.
So, we began with only 3 agenda items in the Texas State House and Senate in the 86th Texas Legislature and had meager success. When the 87th Legislature began January 2021, we were larger, far better organized and our relationships in the capital were growing greatly. Elected officials in the Texas House and Senate soon began to recognize our business leaders were a resource not only in their house and senate districts, but, industry experts in their fields.
Many of BIZPAC's members and executive board are highly regarded as the top in their profession and as the recognized authority in their field. Lawmakers saw this as a resource as they were vetting legislation. For decades, you and I were subjugated to lobbyists influencing our lawmakers with only their agenda. In fact, there are 9 full time highly compensated lobbyists for every single elected official in Texas.
BIZPAC was a gamechanger that the lawmakers wanted. The real people, not paid advocates...the top innovators, scientists, doctors, professionals in various industries were now at the lawmakers fingertips. As a result, BIZPAC was at the capital in the 87th legislature every single week of the regular and special session. We provided testimony to committee hearings, met with Senate Committees for briefings, and provided real and valuable information so that Texas small business was served. Over 60 BIZPAC members took part in the 87th legislature in the Texas capital.
Now, back home in Harris County Texas, we are working with our friends in other like minded conservative groups to research and report on the candidates in the Harris County Primary run-off elections.
For some time we have wondered why is it that Harris County Texas can't seem to come together and elect responsible, business friendly, local officials to govern our county and cities.
You may be asking yourselves that same question. We thought it may be a lack of analysis and reporting to the voters, and, that is true. Even the current voter guides ALL take a large payoff from candidates for their endorsement. This was an eye opener. Many of us had trusted these voter guides for decades.
In fact, only Republican Women's groups and a few other very independent local groups were NOT taking money for their endorsement.
We saw the same campaign payoffs going to local radio hosts for their endorsements and political hit jobs. It was if people forgot that they are merely radio and podcast entertainers seeking the highest dollar.
This one critical flaw, this single deception has the most impact on our local elections. Our voters simply were being systematically manipulated with political lies by unscrupulous bad actors seeking power they could convert to money for themselves and their collaborators. A defrocked former county elected official that I had first hand experience in dealing with had secretly aligned himself with Rodney Ellis's predecessor and was now backing a puppet candidate. More on that will come out.

I assure you, BIZPAC does not now and has not ever allowed this pay for endorsement game. We encourage you to look closely at the voter guides and sample ballots these candidates are endorsing. This is how career criminal politicians get elected and then, when they retire, puppet their own new candidates to continue their self enrichment game. Don't fall for it.
BIZPAC will start releasing our findings on the Harris County Texas Primary Run-Off election candidates later this week. When we release a report, we'll release the back up data for you the voter to perform your own validation.
We want smart voters in Harris County. We want to enable our fellow voters to think and give them the tools to do their own research. You and I can not fix the problems in Harris County or Houston by trusting these same "pay for endorsement" sources any longer. It ends in corruption and betrayal every single time.
This Run Off Election more than ever, you and I must research and make a non-emotional pragmatic decision based on data and facts. I'll give you this one warning as a friend and fellow Harris County resident:
"Blindly Trusting ENDORSEMENTS is very DANGEROUS"
Think it through. Ask, "why did a high profile person endorse a candidate?" and follow the logic.
What did they hope to gain?
Who else has this person endorsed in the past?
Who has this person collaborated with in the past? (this may be the best question you can ever ask about an endorsement)
We deserve only what we earn and insist upon.
So, please join us in this historic Harris County run-off election cycle, share your finding with us and we'll share ours with you as well. And, maybe, if we are earnest, honest and transparent, we will make the best choices for our community.
