BritCoin
The Treasury and the Bank of England predict that a state-backed digital pound will be introduced later this decade. Both organisations seek to make sure that the general public has simple access to secure money in the digital age. The central-bank digital currency (CBDC), according to Chancellor Jeremy Hunt, may be a new "trusted and accessible" method of payment. However, it won't be constructed until at least 2025.?

Google Bard
Google is taking on ChatGPT, with their all-new ‘Bard’ chatbot, which is powered by artificial intelligence. According to the company, Bard will be used by a group of testers before being made available to the general public in the upcoming weeks. Bard is based on Google's already-existing language model, Lamda.
Additionally, the tech behemoth unveiled new AI search engine tools. The purpose of these AI chatbots is to discover information and respond to queries. Although there are worries that this may potentially contain inappropriate content and misinformation, they use the internet as a vast reservoir of knowledge.
"Bard seeks to combine the breadth of the world's knowledge with the power, intelligence, and creativity of our large language models,"?
wrote Google CEO Sundar Pichai in a blog.

Bing + ChatGPT
Microsoft has launched a new version of its search engine Bing, which integrates the latest AI technology from OpenAI. The company has deployed the ChatGPT technology, which has taken the world by storm since its launch last year, in the biggest threat to Google's dominance in web search to date, marking the start of an AI arms race between the two companies. Bing will respond to search queries with more detailed answers, as well as offer a chat feature for users to better tailor their queries.

Netflix Password Crackdown
Netflix is ending its leniency on password sharing and rolling out fees for "extra member" subaccounts for those outside of the household. The charges will start in Canada, New Zealand, Portugal and Spain and more countries, including the US and the UK, will follow. Netflix's efforts to monetise account sharing comes after its deepest subscriber losses in a decade and amid intensifying competition from new streaming services such as Disney Plus, HBO Max, Peacock, Paramount Plus, and Apple TV Plus.
To counter the competition, Netflix has launched cheaper subscriptions with advertising and is pursuing strategies, including an account-sharing crackdown, it had previously dismissed.

Twitter Chaos
Twitter has introduced a new feature for its premium Blue service subscribers - longer tweets. Blue users, who pay £8 per month, now have access to a 4,000-character limit, compared to the standard 280 characters for non-paying users. However, this announcement was overshadowed by technical issues, as many users were unable to post tweets due to a daily limit message. Twitter Support acknowledged the problem and stated they were working to resolve it.
