Rotra Air & Ocean Netherlands Moves 140 MT of Steel Reels from the Netherlands to the Fjords, Norway Together with ASCO Norge, Norway

For this project, Rotra’s project team arranged the complete transport from the supplier in the Netherlands to the project location in Norway (DDP).

The transport from the supplier to the terminal in Rotterdam was completed with six specialized trucks on permits.? From there, the cargo was loaded on board a vessel from Rotterdam to Tananger, Norway.

The delivery in Norway was challenging because these dimensions could not be moved by road directly from the terminal in Tananger to the project location in the Fjords due to the dimensions, weight, and tunnel limitations.

Therefore, we have created a tailor-made solution together with fellow WCA Project member ASCO Norge, with Morten Nevland providing excellent solutions and service for this project.?

All equipment that was necessary to do the last-mile delivery was loaded onto the pontoon so we could deliver directly after arrival on location. ?Not only the cargo and trucks were loaded onto the pontoon, but also the crane, which was necessary to lift and put the reels in the right place so they could be used directly.

Despite a very tight schedule, we have managed to deliver the cargo exactly on time according to the client requirements.
