We all know having a ROTH is great for tax free income. You can convert your IRA into ROTH but you have to pay the taxes.

This tax hit means you have less money growing and will need to recover what you’ve paid in taxes.? This can take a long time and often does not make sense.

Now we are able to take advantage of the highest treasury rates we have seen in decades and use high guaranteed fixed rates to pay most of the taxes.

Here’s a recent plan we structure for a client:

The fixed rates are guaranteed at 19% on all deposits for 7 years.

So we do partial conversion each year at 100k.?

This client was able to pay at a 24% rate resulting in an effective tax rate of 6% on the conversion.

I can guarantee you that is the lowest tax rate you will ever pay!

After 7 years the funds are tax free for life and result in a long term tax savings of over $350k through life expectancy.

Thanks to the fixed rate, you are almost covering the taxes so you are not losing time compounding interest on the asset.

The entire asset will also earn bond-like interest in the 3%-6% range + the 19% guaranteed.
