Rotator Cuff / Frozen Shoulder
A rotator cuff or Frozen shoulder as some refer to it, is made up of tendons and can tear or become inflamed from overuse.
It is most common for serious trainers or body builders to suffer from frozen shoulder/s.
This is usually a result of over-training or working the muscle due to heavy lifting.
If ever you feel, that you have restricted movement in the shoulder area, or a slight pinching feeling (sensation), then please have it looked after as soon as you can.
Most clients leave it with the hope that it will go away but this is the 1st sign of rotator cuff or more commonly known frozen shoulder. The quicker you have this looked at, the better in the long run as recovery period and treatment can set you back at least 6 months.
**No one who is serious about training would want to be set back for that amount of time**.
If you already have the symptoms and know that you can relate to the restricted movement or pinched nerve sensation, then there is still hope as we can heal and treat it.
You are more than welcome to contact me for a consultation where we will determine the complexity of the injury and how far advanced it is.
Once that is done, we can look at working on a different program with limited movement in conjunction with your PT (Personal Trainer).
We will schedule a few sessions where I will provide you with the relevant treatment, once a week or every second week, which will assist you in the recovering process.
I have successfully recovered and healed a number of clients who suffered from this and will gladly provide you with names and contact numbers as reference, to ease your mind.
