Rooted in trees

Kerala artist Madhu Venugopalan believes art is a stream of consciousness. He uses the metaphor of a tree clad in the spirit of a discourse of humans and birds and trees to create a sensorial world that grabs and grasps your gaze.

His work reflects the beauty of acceptance and spiritual grounding that is crucial to what the artist finds a content life. To be deeply rooted and grounded, an idea that is evoked by his use of the metaphor of trees is the ultimate grasp at the concept of inner peace and tranquillity in life. In this great big world, it is easy to lose oneself but staying true to one’s identity and being authentic seems to be fading away. Instead, life at present represents a saturation of concepts, ideologies, and a plastic sense of perfection that is not truly representative or authentic of the human experience in life. Madhu Venugopalan brings forth a reminder of authenticity, balance, and acceptance in his artworks by not only embarking on the journey through his art to explore it but also imploring the viewers to set foot upon this journey of going on a journey inwards to being deeply rooted in oneself.?

The artist even feels that through the journey of understanding of this ideology is itself pure art. The artist says, “When we start experiencing this universe as the reflection of our mind itself as a reality, we prepare ourselves to enjoy our innermost movements and external nature with a vision of equality.” This painting by the artist is a careful tracing and decoding of his intuition, as he attempts to understand his reality through the composition of visual imagery that has been with the artist since his childhood. The imagery includes images of the Himalayas, Yogis, clouds, and flowers all in the same visuals as a motivation to move forward to the goal of ultimate freedom and pleasure.?

Well written about one of the ways to understand how human minds blend with nature as the artist too have portrayed the visions through his imagination.. The toughest of the realizations, how " human mind body and soul blends the core soul of the Universe".
