The Room You've Been Looking For

The Room You've Been Looking For

The Room You've Been Looking For. . .

Is right here.

And it leads to others that are even better than this one.

Success in business (or in other things) is all about being in the right place, at the right time. Or as they sing in the Broadway musical Hamilton, "I want to be in the Room Where It Happens."

Here at Supertight, we teach 3 Core Principles:

1) Your "Right Fit" Target Audience (Most Lucrative, Most Delightful!)

2) Your Remarkable Articulation so that "Your Best Audience Gets It Immediately" (your brand concept, targeting, and messaging is either "Supertight," or it isn't!)

and

3) Your Top 3-5 Rooms: Where You Belong

In a world where technology/AI continues to expand all things exponentially, it's more and more important we find our rooms - and even as we find them - be on the lookout for the "Next Level Room" that sucks us effortlessly into greater expansion and prosperity.

A "room" can be real, physical, a place we go to meet others who will help us elevate and expand. A "room" can be virtual, any online gathering, on any platform. A "room" is any place, real or digital, where you connect with other real human beings in a meaningful way.

I'm sad to say one exception appears to be the more anonymous "groups" on LinkedIn. In general, these are Not Good. My favorite example of this is a giant LinkedIn Group with 100s of thousands of people called "Social Media Engagement" - hundreds of thousands of posts with absolutely no engagement of any kind!

The most important thing about a good "room" is that it's populated with people who are playing at, or even better, slightly above our level. These people are incredible referral sources - sometimes to clients, sometimes to other wonderful "rooms."

We'll know we're in the right place (the right "room") when we feel inspired by what others in the room are doing.

The most important thing we can do in a good room is show up CONSISTENTLY and participate. Get to know, and be known by others.

Share our remarkable articulation and unique offer of help. Share our best ideas.

AI/Chat GPT can help us find these rooms (and we're going to talk about this in our next issues, so stay tuned!)

But I want to share one of my favorites, The Dames.

The Dames is an international networking and practice group of women owning, or leading, business of 6-8 figures. It is both physical, with chapters in several cities, and virtual, with online training and community on Facebook. Since joining The Dames, we've multiplied our revenue, get 38% of our business through Dames and Dames referral sources, and met some incredible new friends.

And (most importantly to me, since I am primarily motivated by fun) I've laughed till I wheezed and had to unbutton the top button of my pants.

That, my friends, is a great room. Ask in the comments if you'd like to know more about applying, or reach out to me or CEO/Founder Meghann Conter here on LinkedIn.

You can also register for one of their fabulous "Round Table" events to find out if it's the right "room" for you!

https://www.thedames.co/roundtable

Find 3-5 of the right sort of rooms, and get to know, share, and become known. Show up CONSISTENTLY over time. Look for the people who inspire you, and make the effort to get to know them privately.

Then ask them about THEIR favorite "rooms" - and see if just maybe, they could provide an introduction.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

What about you? What or where or who are in YOUR favorite "rooms"?

Who might be in that "next level" room you are looking for? Share demographics and psychographics - there's someone reading this who can help you!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks to everyone who showed up for our "Sweet Talkin' Chat GPT for Content Creators" Webinar last week! We had a blast and hope you did as well. Let us know if you have comments or questions - or if you missed it, and want us to host another one in the future.

"Find the top 3 to 5 rooms where you belong." This is marketing gold and should be on every business owner's marketing plan. I think I've been doing this intuitively but making it intentional will magnify the impact. Thank you. Ellen.

I value this approach, Ellen Melko Moore, "We'll know we're in the right place (the right "room") when we feel inspired by what others in the room are doing." Do you have any other recommendations as good as The Dames?

Was just recommending The Dames and Meghann Conter to someone this morning. Being in the right rooms is so important. (But why does your picture look like someone in the opening scene of CSI? Are they going to the wrong room?) ;-)

Thanks for sharing one of your favorite "rooms", Ellen Melko Moore. The room you curate and facilitate has been one of my favorites for over two years now (wow!). I've met women who have mentioned the Dames, and they've all been awesome connections, so I can imagine The Dames is a great place to connect with more quality relationships and get support. Is it strictly women only, or do they accept men who fit their philosophy and don't take over the room? :)
