Rookie Russell scores big with Team UA!

Being a Technology & Engineering Recruiter there is never a dull day. You get to learn everything it takes to make a business run, from the technology setup, to the people behind it. Under Armour being a top retailer in the space, you can imagine how important it is to ensure our stores all around the world are up and running, with no glitches in technology. Recruiting for Retail IT professionals at Under Armour has been a fun challenge for me.

Which brings me to our next Rookie, Russell Kelly! Russell was a Rookie on our Retail IT team last year, assisting with store support and new store openings. He has a true passion for Retail IT and you can tell how proud he is of his accomplishments.

Every summer the UA Rookies are responsible for putting on a “Sample Sale”. This four day event held in Baltimore brings thousands of customers seeking Under Armour gear; the Rookies plan and work the ENTIRE event! Russell was responsible for putting together 35 registers and creating a functional network for the event. That’s something to be proud of!  

Russell grew up in Jacksonville, FL and recently received his Bachelors of Science in Information Technology from the University of South Florida. He enjoys reading up on new and upcoming technology and stays active through running track and field and playing basketball.  

Russell is “thrilled to begin working full-time with Under Armour this July. He cannot wait to meet his new team and work with them on projects that will push the brand forward. He is excited to see our company grow from the inside each and every day.” Russell will be re-joining the Retail IT team as a Retail Systems Test Development Analyst.
