Romania plans to build green power corridor to connect neighboring countries

Romania is working with Georgia and other partner countries to implement some major strategic projects, including the construction of a submarine cable between Romania, Georgia and Azerbaijan.

According to local media reports, "Our priority is to build a 'green power corridor' between Romania, Georgia and Azerbaijan connecting the Caspian region, the Black Sea and the European Union."

Romania's energy minister has said, "We can create a 'green' corridor through Azerbaijan, Georgia and further afield in Europe by establishing renewable energy supplies."

Romania is considering the possibility of diversifying its energy sources like many other countries, and Azerbaijan will play an important role in this.
