Romance your life; there’s no room for hate

The road not taken in HR corridors

Tum jo mil gaye ho, toh ye lagta hai, yeh jahan mil gaya.

Ek bhatake huye rahi ko karwaan mil gaya

 - Hanste Zakhm

I don’t know when you’re going to read this, but I’m writing it on Kaifi Azmi’s 101st birth anniversary. He gave love a voice, today we should give it a chance. When the world around seems lost, it is love that will help find a way.

Let me ask you this - when was the last time you felt slighted, or someone at work messed up an assignment you gave them, or a supervisor was unfair to you, or you didn’t get served up what you wanted for lunch? If it was less than 24 hours ago, then reading the rest of this blog will probably help.

Life bahut choti hai doston,

Par dil se jiyo to bohat hai!

-Guzaarish

It may be a Tuesday evening when you read this, or a Friday morning…or Saturday night. But set the mid-week pressure aside as well as the Friday morning stress. Life is too short to spend time settling scores, holding grudges, trying to get people to do your work…or theirs! Why not enjoy the moment you find yourself in? Be playful, do something interesting, set your heart a-flutter… romance your life a little.

Marne ke liye tumhe kitne bhi reasons mil jaye,

Jeene ke liye bas ek hi wajah kaafi hoti hai.

- Anjaana Anjaani

Well said. Love gives us a reason to live. In our most intense moments in life, it is love that sees us through. When we are delirious with happiness, we want to share the moment with those we love. When we are thoroughly disappointed and can’t feel positively about anything, we either try to be alone or will admit the company of only those who are closest to us. Money, fame, entertainment and the like are just means to an end. Love is possibly the truest end in itself.

Hum aur zindagi umar bhar ek doosre se ladte rehte hai,

Aur ant mein jeet maut ki hoti hai.

- Tum Bin

Read these lines again….and yet again if you must. But this is the most profound truth about hate. Hate devours up our soul, it eats away our time, it steals our moments that could be spent doing what we love. So I say we set aside the hate for a while. In a scenario where the world is incandescent with rage and even students aren’t spared, more hate and anger is unlikely to solve the problem. At times like these, we should try and channel all that pent up emotion towards love. I don’t mean we should ignore what’s happening around us, or condone the violence that seems to be pervasive across our country and the world. However, we can give in to love…and let that calm the world down a trifle.

Pyaar koi toofan nahi hai jo aaye aur duniya badal de.

Who to zindagi ke chhote chhote lamhon mein hota hai.

- Aisha

Right, so where do we start? Should singles start looking for a soul mate, or should the rest of us start asking ourselves if we are fulfilled in life and love? I’d say not. Love and romance lie in the magic of moments. It’s those little gestures, the look, the longing and the feeling that everything is ok in the end. Life is too short to wait for the big bang moment of romance. Every day is a new chance to live anew, to celebrate the family we have been given, to be grateful for the people who love us and those we are crazy about.

So my view on the present times, and indeed the present moment too – is to step back and breathe in the moment. To picture those we love the most, or maybe the one who gives our life meaning. Let’s rejuvenate ourselves, regain our composure, rethink what life means to us and seize back control. Let’s savour every moment and romance life once more.

Regarding Essar Pump issue? Dear Sir, I had a bad experience at your Hyderabad Musheerabad Petrol Pump on 24.01.2020. The person who was at the Air counter made me to wait for long period to provide the Air. When approached the pump manager at the office, she has bluffed that the Air compressor is having some fault. When I said the the person who is at the Air counter is busy doing puncture work to other persons duly avoiding the petrol customer. I asked for a complaint register with the Manager. On my request, she not only refused to provide the register but also has abused me too by saying " dimak kharab hai thumko" which means in English " You are a mad fellow". I felt very bad and insulted with the behaviors of the Lady Manager and the Air delivery boy. Request you to kindly look into the matter and initiate necessary action against the staff. Please provide necessary counselling and training to the staff of the Pump Contact Number : 9440276098 /9959541590? As I could not find an email id in Essar site? I posted it here?
