Rolling with Charlotte Ros: A Cosmic 7+ Years Casumo Journey

From yoga mats to pirate ships, resilience badges to Dutch licorice cravings, Charlotte Sofie Ros has been through it all during her time at Casumo. As our EN Marketing Comms Specialist for Casino, Charlotte’s been part of rebrands, cultural shifts, and big personal milestones—all with an inspiring mix of adaptability, humour, and creativity. We sat down with her to uncover her journey, her quirks, and her Casumo-themed slot game dreams.

What’s a hobby or passion you’ve discovered or grown into while working at Casumo?

Charlotte: “Yoga! It all started with office yoga classes when I visited the Malta headquarters. I thought I’d just try it out, but now it’s become a full-on passion. Who knew a casual stretch after work would turn into such a life staple?!”

Can you share a memorable moment or project that stands out during your time here?

Charlotte: “Rebrands. Oh, the rebrands. I’ve been through a couple, but the most memorable was when we had to remove the Casumo character due to compliance reasons. It felt like we were tasked with rediscovering the heart and soul of our brand—visually and in tone of voice. It was a challenge, but wow, did we nail it. The team pulled together, and we brought the Casumo spirit back in a whole new way.”

How has Casumo evolved as a workplace over the years, and what’s kept you motivated to stay?

Charlotte: “I’ve been with Casumo for nearly 8 years now (time flies!), and in that time, I’ve worked from 4 different co-working spaces and 2 Casumo offices here in Barcelona. Now I work entirely remotely from home. The way Casumo adapts and grows, yet keeps its essence, has kept me motivated. Regardless, I always managed to stay connected with the people through video meetings, Slack huddles and direct messages.”

What’s the biggest life milestone you’ve achieved during your time at Casumo?

Charlotte: “All the big ones! I’ve moved three times, got engaged, married, and had a beautiful son, he just turned 3. Casumo has been with me through all of it—pretty incredible when you think about it.”

If your experience with Casumo had an “Achievement Badge,” what would it be for?

Charlotte: “Resilience and adaptability, for sure.”

What’s one thing working at Casumo has taught you about yourself outside of work?

Charlotte: “Patience goes a long way. I’ve learned to trust the process, both in work and in life.

How has Casumo’s culture influenced your growth, both professionally and personally?

Charlotte: “Casumo’s culture has taught me to be open—to different cultures, different people, and different ways of thinking. I’ve learned that everyone has their own “instruction manual,” and to truly inspire and collaborate, you have to meet people where they are.”

Describe your Casumo journey using a song title.

Charlotte: “Don’t Stop Me Now by Queen. It’s upbeat, fun, and unstoppable—just like my journey here!”

What’s been the biggest challenge you’ve faced at Casumo, and how did you overcome it?

Charlotte: “Hmm, that has to be rebrands again. It’s tough when you’re redefining something you’ve known so well. But I overcame it because we were all in it together. Everyone brought their A-game, and there was this collective energy to make it happen.”

Is there a specific Casumo tradition or initiative that’s particularly special to you?

Charlotte: “Fikas! (That’s Swedish for “coffee break.”) On Friday afternoons at the office, we’d have drinks, snacks, chats, laughs, games—basically a proper hangout with colleagues. It was a great way to connect and unwind at the end of the week.”

If your time at Casumo were a movie, what would the title be, and who would play you?

Charlotte: “Title: "Rolling with Ros"—because it’s been a whirlwind of change and fun. And I’d have Cameron Diaz play me. She’s bubbly, fun, and a little bit cheeky—perfect fit!”

What’s the quirkiest or most unexpected thing you’ve seen happen at Casumo over the years?

Charlotte: “Sailing on a giant old pirate ship during a company vacation in Dubrovnik. That was next-level quirky and so very Casumo.”

If you could create a Casumo-themed slot game, what would it look like and what would the bonus round be?

Charlotte: “It would definitely be space-themed, with colourful planets to visit—mostly purple, of course! The bonus round would be all about collecting stars across the Casumoverse. The name could be “Cosmic Casumo Quest”!”

What’s a “hidden gem” or secret about working at Casumo that new employees might not know?

Charlotte: “Casumo was created over 12 years ago in the basement of one of the founders. Just 5 Swedish guys—two of them cousins—sitting at tiny desks with a big dream. Look how far we’ve come!”

What’s your go-to snack or ritual that’s powered you through your time here?

Charlotte: “Licorice —the Nordic super salty kind that no one else likes (I’m Dutch, hence…). My healthier choice would be fruit or a granola bar. Drink-wise, it’s herbal tea or a flat white, depending on the time of day.”

From office yoga sessions to building the next big rebrand, Charlotte Ros embodies what Casumo is all about—resilience, fun, and a pinch of quirky creativity. With close to eight years of memories and milestones, she’s not just part of the Casumo journey—she is the journey. Thanks, Charlotte, for sharing your story and inspiring us all with your cosmic energy!
