Today is just three days before Rosh Hashana, the Jewish New Year. On Wednesday evening, Jews around the world will be celebrating and praying for a new, fresh start, a new, fresh "head" with which to face the world, confront the issues, make headways into life. A new month will also begin, the month of Tishrei. Interestingly, it is the month in which the new year begins and the Torah also begins anew with the reading of Genesis, Bereishit, in Hebrew. One may wonder what new beginnings, if any, will be attempted in reigniting the stalled search for Israeli-Palestinian talks.
