I am confident that like myself you might also have played hundred number of time the number board game of snakes and ladder. Where you roll your dices and got some numbers and than you start to play the board from number 1 block and your target is to reach at number 100th block.
In the game there are some instances where you got "small and big ladders" which might take you to the higher numbers however there are some "snakes" also await for you on the way. They might symbolically bite you and the resultant throw you on the lower numbers. There is not a single player in this game ever who either has not come across a ladder or a snake on the way.
The beauty of this game is that although you might be thrown to the lower numbers if been bitten by the snakes on the way but you never been thrown out of the board. Succinctly remember you always stay there on the board.
What an interesting iconoclast life philosophy to learn from!
Take the same metaphor, do not you think that in our life we are also in the similar situation where some time on the way we got success in form of ladders which escalate our stature and titles and enhance our financial fortunes? However on the way we also face sometimes failures in form of small and bigger snakes, which if bite us ,may cause us to be deplorable might throw us on the lower levels but they never killed us.
Strange fact is that such people once face similar situations/ failures in life then they surmise that their game is over. Hence they become inure ,prefer to stay there and refuse to roll their dices.
Remember my friends if you are currently been pursuing some significant noble goals and objectives in life and recently been hit hard with some personal tragedy or failure in your professional career and or business.
Then I urge you to efface your limiting thoughts and belief, pick up your courage and roll your dice once again as in this life Game is not Over till it's Over!

7 年Definitely Sir, we have ladders in terms of opportunity and a snakes in the form of hurdles either someone pulling your legs or even create problems, so overcome the obstacles and facing the giants is the key ingredient.

7 年I really like the analogy Kamran. While we have no control over luck (The dice) We have control over our persistence to keep on playing despite any "snakes" and the hope of getting "ladders".
