Rolex predictions for 2022
As we approach the moment when Rolex will present its latest creations and innovations, we are coming across various predictions of new models and the hidden desires of many watch lovers.
This Swiss watch manufacturer uncompromisingly strives for excellence in terms of performance, comfort, and design when creating and manufacturing its timepieces, so it is not surprising that they are one of the most anticipated novelties of the year.
While we are eagerly awaiting the moment when the new Rolex models will be unveiled, we bring you the most interesting predictions we have collected from various Internet portals and forums.
Rolex Milgauss
The most talked-about model is Rolex Milgauss, being one of the last watches in Rolex’s collection to be equipped with a movement from the 31XX generation. While some watch enthusiasts predict this watch will be discontinued, others insist that the Rolex Milgauss should be kept alive. In the opinion of the MONOCHROME and Everest Bands team, Rolex should use the new generation of the Milgauss model to debut a new, entirely amagnetic movement.
Regarding the design, MONOCHROME imagines the Oyster Perpetual Milgauss 2022, reference 126400GV, with a slightly enlarged diameter but slimmer proportions (lugs and bezel) than the current reference 116400GV. As for the dial, they would love to see it with double markers in the classic orange accents, lightning-shaped seconds hand, and the oddly attractive green sapphire crystal. And because we’re talking about a professional model, it would be entirely brushed, mid-links included.
Rolex Air-King
The Rolex Oyster Perpetual Air-King is a discreet yet appreciated model in the brand’s collection. A simple, robust and sporty model, the Air-King has long been seated next to the Oyster Perpetual and the Explorer. The MONOCHROME and CHRONEXT portals can see a new Air-King collection that returns to its roots for an "old fashioned" model.
In the past, the Rolex Air-King was an entry-level watch with a small 34mm case and with the 3-6-9 Explorer applied markers. With this in mind, MONOCHROME crew decided to give it a 39 mm case and leave the current design elements with a thinner bezel and more tapered lugs. The Air-King is, after all, a model intended for aviation as such, they would give it some discreet touches of colour, along the lines of the dark blue model here.?It would also combine traditional baton hands with the signature 3-6-9 applied markers, treated with luminous material. Naturally, the new calibr 3230 would power the watch.
Rolex GMT-Master II
The "Coke," as nicknamed by collectors, just like Pepsi, is an older reference that the watch community hopes to see again. With its recognizable black and red bezel, which would ?set the watch community on fire“, the new Oyster Perpetual GMT-Master II would include red-colored GMT hand, in addition to 40 mm steel case, black dial and calibre 3285.
On the other hand,?the Luxe Watches ?team thinks it might be time to discontinue the 126710BLNR or, as the fans love to call it, the "Batman," but share the opinion of the significant part of the watch community about the return of the GMT Coke.

ROLEX Yacht-Master 42
Well this prediction is quite interesting with presenting a titanium watch to Rolex's sporty and chic collection Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master. The new Yacht-Master 42 would feature 42 mm case with matte dark titanium shade, but in the same proportions as its brother in 18 ct white gold.
As for the movement, the new Yacht-Master 42 would be powered by calibre 3230, while its bracelet would be the brand's superb Oysterflex bracelet known for its comfort and durability.?MONOCHROME ?team opinion is that Rolex Yacht-Master 42 Titanium No-Date could recuperate the sporty credentials of the YM collection while still being different from the Submariner.
Rolex Submariner
Watch portals such as MONOCHROME , and Wrist Advisor predict that Rolex will release in 2022 a green bezel and dial Submariner in yellow Rolesor, combining 18 ct yellow gold and Oystersteel. They envisioned a new Submariner Date model launch alongside the existing black and blue dial models with the reference 126613LV.
The combination of 18 ct yellow gold and steel with bright green dial and bezel would be undoubtedly striking and in line with Rolex’s recent more colorful and daring watch launches.
Based on Submariner's past with cool-toned colors such as blue and green, portals?Watchfinder ?and?Luxe Watches ?hope to see Rolex Submariner with a warmer red bezel.?
Rolex Cosmograph Daytona
For years, the watch community eagerly awaits to see the Cosmograph Daytona in Rolesor, but with a ceramic bezel. In predictions, the reference 116503 would be a base to which the Swiss manufacturer would add a ceramic bezel found on the gold versions. Other features would remain the same.
