The role of strategic consulting in the resources sector

Earlier in the year I was privileged to be asked by the University of Western Australia Business School to present to a group of visiting MBA students from the Institute of Technology in Bandung, Indonesia. The talk had similar content to one given earlier in the year to students from the University of Alberta, however, with a bit more of a focus on the role of strategic consultants. The presentation covered how strategic consultants could help the mining and petroleum industries move towards excellence in operational management, attracting talent, business model innovation, project development, exploration management, socio-environmental management and strategic decision making in complex environments.
