Job Description:
Our financial client is seeking out a SharePoint Developer who will be responsible for the development, operation and maintenance of business process workflows that was designed to specifically support their legal contract negotiation site. The developer ensures that system hardware, operating systems, application configuration, and related procedures adhere to company policies and standards. The developer will assist in the design, implementation, and support of new application processes in collaboration with other staff. The Process itself is already built out but the client needs existing support to move the internal efforts along as they have only one other developer supporting the project. The developer will collaborate with various personnel and team members to ensure all needs are being met and executed.
Formulates and defines system scope and objectives based on user needs. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex business problems considering system limitations and capacity. Prepares detail specifications for developers. Provides technical expertise in evaluating new software modifications that will enhance operating and development activities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Needs to have at least 3-6+ years of experience in SharePoint 2010, SharePoint Designer 2010, SP Designer Workflows (Metadata, Content Type, Term Set, Workflow, Forms, etc.)
- Experience with Nintex Workflow/ Forms
- Working knowledge with JQuery, JavaScript, CSS, HTML and XSLT Programming as needed for customization
- CAML (Collaborative Application Markup Language) experience preferred since it’s a language that helps build and customize websites based on SharePoint.
- Experience with SSRS Reporting Services (or similar reporting products) would be desirable and extremely helpful
- Experience working in an AGILE based environment and understanding of SDLC principles
- Experience in knowing SharePoint permissions/administration as needed
- Create and maintain site and list definitions.
- Create and maintain master pages and layouts, web parts, lists, content types.
- Create and maintain workflows.
- Provide advice, support and training on any items relating to permissions, site ownership, document management, forms and workflows.
- Coding, testing and implementing solutions
- A thorough understanding of the following concepts: Collaboration, Portals, Enterprise Search, Enterprise Content Management, Business Process and Forms, Information Architecture
- Clearly document problems, analyses and solutions. Communicate the status of issues to users and management.
- Provide end user support primarily as related to SharePoint.
- Work with end users and development team to define, develop and test solutions to resolve issues and requests. Participate in the analysis to design enhancements or solve existing SharePoint issues
- Maintain the SharePoint server and services.
- Exhibit excellent verbal and communication skills.
- Microsoft developer certifications (MOSS, MCSD, MCDBA, Certified SharePoint Developer, Certified SharePoint Administrator, etc.) is desirable, but not required
- Knowledge of migrating content into SharePoint
- Knowledge in upgrading SharePoint to a new version
- Experience in applying branding to SharePoint (master pages, page layouts, design manager)
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Experience in web part configuration including search and content query web parts
- Understands system and operational requirements, downstream system impacts, and legal/compliance obligations
- Design, configure, and implement content management and workflow application solutions
