Role of ISH in COVID-19 Outbreak

Living in Brooklyn, NY I would like to thank the men and women that are risking their lives that help our city to battle this pandemic. Thank you to all hospital employees that work in the hospitals, doctors, nurses and all essential personnel for their hard work! Thank you ! Thank you! Thank you! Please be safe!

As a CNC Machine shop owner, I would like to thank my dedicated employees for their HARD WORK and dedication to our company. I always say that I'm honored and blessed with the people that work at ISH.

On Thursday, we received a green light from our customer to run aluminum filter housings that would be used in hospitals to help protect the men and women that are working in close proximity with Covid-19 patients.

My customer needed these housings immediately. The green light came at 2:30 pm on Thursday (the next day was Good Friday). Firstly, a huge thank you to Yarde Metal team in Hauppauge, NY. When they found out this was for Covid-19 project, they came through for us right away. 8000 lbs of material was delivered at 7 am Friday morning. Thank you again for getting this material to us on such short notice. By 8am on Friday, our automatic saw was not able to cut fast enough to feed a dedicated cell of 6 CNC machines to run this set of parts.

Four Okuma M560 were running the main hugout for these parts and two HAAS VF2SS were supporting machines (running side operations).

But most importantly, I'm very grateful to my main CNC programmer and my main CNC set up person who stayed till 9 pm on Thursday to make sure that the process was tuned and dialed up to run this job efficiently. They also came in two hours earlier the following day to finish everything up. Everyone at ISH Precision had a part in getting this project to our customer in a shortest possible time. From handling of the part to cutting to machining to cleaning to packaging, every employee had a role in this life saving project.
