Role Of IQAC & its Members

The role of IQAC in maintaining quality standards in teaching, learning and evaluation becomes crucial, and hence the present research is undertaken, though on a smaller scale, to determine the exact status and functioning of IQAC and its outcome. The primary Role of the IQAC members is to initiate, organize, plan, and monitor all the quality matters of the Higher Educational Institute Campuses related to their accreditation.

As per the guidelines of the NAAC, the IQAC members need to focus on the given parameters-

• Create a system that enhances the institutional performance
• The system should ensure the use of edTech and innovation
• Ensure the best teaching-learning practices in the classroom

The prime task is also to create and submit the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR), which is one of the most important Role of the NAAC accreditation process.

IQAC Responsibilities:

• A significant & Capable administrative body in any educational institution contributes to maintaining quality standards in teaching, learning and to administer various academic/educational activities evaluation by promoting co-curricular & extra-curricular activities in the HEI.
• There is coordination among the stakeholders of the institution, but this still needed more attention and concern to increase such coordination.
• The IQAC and its members require more autonomy in academic, financial, and administrative areas for the desired output and performance. They should not feel any pressure from any body like in some institutions/colleges, pressure of principal and management is created on them.
• By the Inclusive Administration, IQAC should form the Teams and with that spirit they should involve the people in various activities.
• The IQAC is not a Replaceble Agency in any of the college and should not be replaced by any other Cell, Committee or agency. They possesses a greater role and responsibility in maintaining quality standards in the process of teaching, learning and evaluation through the valuable inputs and significant efforts with optimization and integration of modern methods of teaching and learning.
• The credibility of evaluation procedures ensuring the adequacy, maintenance and proper allocation of support structure and services.
