Rapid growth in the medical industry is already sweeping Asia, through organic expansion, mergers, and acquisitions. In India, private health care delivery has been expanding at an annual rate of 20% to 25% since the early 2000s. But those looking to capitalize on this growth often find themselves stymied by factors that limit rates of expansion.

The biggest issue the health care sector in Asia faces is talent attraction and retention. To compound the situation as the health care industry evolves, managing talent is even more crucial to the success and sustainability of all health care organizations.

The benefits of a HR department have gradually gained recognition in health care, owing to such challenges as economic instabilities, health care regulations and a dearth of experienced personnel. Human resources, when pertaining to health care, can be defined as the different kinds of clinical and non-clinical staff responsible for public and individual health intervention

The HR department in any company can be its ace in the hole, if used strategically. HR is a company’s human resource multiplier.

In spite of technological advancements, one cannot rule out the importance of manpower in hospitals. Latest and technologies modern cannot substitute the contribution made by specialised manpower in the healthcare industry. The main job for human resource team is to make sure that their company has a health and a welcoming working atmosphere.
