Simply, it is the ability to access the computer or mobile or internet for our day-to-day activities and being connected with others through the internet.

The significance of digital literacy is no longer confined to white-collar professions; it also involves blue-collar workers, who are the men behind the success of any industries, whether of construction, manufacturing, or even logistics. While traditionally associated with manual labor, blue-collar jobs now require a basic understanding of digital tools and technologies.

In today’s digital age, there are still many blue-collar workers who are out of reach or far away from the digital world. Their knowledge about how this can help their profession is very limited; that is why many have not recognized it.?

According to recent studies, a significant percentage of blue-collar workers lack basic digital skills, which limit their job opportunities and career growth. Factors such as limited access to technology, lack of training resources, and educational disparities contribute to this.?

Recent data from the Indian government highlights the growing importance of digital literacy among blue-collar workers. According to a report, over 27 million more Indian workers will require digital skills by next year to cope with changes in their jobs.?
