Interest Profiling Interaction with Students

Different students have different area of interest and talent in its budding stage, right nurturing at right time can bring out the best of them. The object of this interaction would be to identify their interest and align it accordingly by giving right information and direction.

There are number of students who aspire to go for government job, but for the sake of eligibility required are undergoing through their undergraduate and post graduate course, due to this goal conflict they end doing injustice with their studies.

There must be some students who are charged up by ongoing entrepreneurial success stories, but facing family pressure to complete their graduation at least (here the family wants to ensure that she has a B plan in her hand in case it does not work). Again this goal conflict leads to disinterest in studies in most of the cases.

A good number of students cherish ambitions to go for their further education from ace B- Schools and want to invest their maximum time preparing for the same, and therefore attend their regular university classes half- heartedly, yet another case of goal conflict.

From the managerial perspective, conflict is a good thing, it just requires timely resolution and necessary alignment. It is therefore recommended that a panel of teachers explores, earmarks and aligns students according to the area of their interest, and then it would be a realized by the students that there exists no conflict and paying attention to academics makes a lot of sense, because they are already getting necessary guidance and counselling for their area of interest.

Academic institutions do have a limitation to cater to a specific set of skills like Entrepreneurship, Cracking Ace Institution’s Entrance for Higher Studies, Government Jobs, Research & Development.
