THE ROLE OF ANGELS IN TRANSITION

This is the story about how I met my soulmate Ruth. We live in Bogotá, Colombia and have been married for 14 years. We have a 13 year old son.

In 2005, I was married to my first wife, who was Colombian. At that time, our relationship had become distant due to a lot of problems. Although I didn't have any proof of anything, I suspected that she was having an affair and I wanted to separate and get a divorce.

An acquaintance of mine named David, who I know was an angel, gave me one of the most valuable pieces of advice. He said that God had a purpose and that if I got a divorce, God would later ask me, "Did you do everything you could to save your marriage?" He then went on to say that he suggested that my wife and I should go to a counseling session with the pastor at our church.

I took his advice and went to a marriage counseling session with my wife. The pastor began the session by saying that he had gone to a marriage seminar and the speaker told the audience that if they thought that their wife or husband sitting next to them would ever cheat to please raise their hand. Of course, nobody raised their hand!

The pastor then asked my wife and I a series of questions and he ended the session by telling me that he wanted me to read the book of Ruth in the Bible. I had never read it and was puzzled as to why he recommended it to me. Although I had doubts, I read the book of Ruth and I found out:

1. She was a woman who was very devout to God and loyal to her family. 2. Not knowing what the outcome would be to following her mother-in-law back to her hometown, she stepped out on faith. 3. She loved her husband, was faithful to him and as a result was tremendously blessed by God.

Subsequently, my wife and I separated, got divorced and I dated for the next 2 years. I loved to salsa dance and I went on a regular weekly basis at the same restaurant. One particular Friday night I went salsa dancing, it happened to be Love and Friendship Day in Colombia, which is the equivalent of Valentine's Day in the United States.

I walked into the restaurant and saw a beautiful woman, who I had never seen previously. She was dancing with a group of friends and I kept my eye on her until she was free. When she sat at a table alone, I went over to ask her to dance.

As it turned out, we danced the rest of the night together and really enjoyed each other's company. The time came for me to leave and I asked her if I could have her phone number. She said yes and I asked her what her name was. She said, "Ruth".

When she told me that, I had a flashback to the conversation that I had at the church with the pastor in 2005. I didn't know at that time, but God was telling me that I would know my next wife by her name and that she would also be a loving, faithful woman.

If I hadn't listened to David, the angel and had not gone to the counseling session with my ex-wife, I would have never met my soulmate, Ruth two years later. Therefore my friends, God knows every transition you will ever face and he will send an angel far in advance to give you a word of advice, introduce you to a person to give you an opportunity, or simply give you directions to a location.
