When values are clear, decisions are easy. Companies with the highest employee engagement (i.e. WD40, Medtronic) have a culture of “people first”. They live their values which include caring for their workforce, loving them, and treating them well.?

Now think about your own company values and ask yourself:

  1. On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 = we live the values, 1 = we have a poster on the wall), do your behaviours match the values?
  2. How well do you live the values in your company?
  3. How do you use these values to support decision-making?
