ROI - Return on Investment is a frequently heard acronynm in recent times. Most of followers on LI are aware about my Book Summary posts. Received lot of clarifiations on my approach towards reading, how and why do you read and so on. Fortunately, came across a beautiful chapter ROI on Reading from the Book "The Art of Impossible - by Steven Kotler". Below is a ROI on Reading considering an average adult reads 250 words per minute.

1. Average blog post = 800 words Typical blog author spends on a topic; 1 ? day research – 50 to 100 pages worth of material; 3 to 5 hours of talking about it ; 1 ? writing ; 3 days of brain labor. Reading Time 3.5 minutes
2. Article = 5000 words; Typical author spends on a topic; 1 month research – 6 week of conversations ; 6 weeks of writing and editing; ~4 months of brain labor. Reading Time - 20 minutes
3. Book = 75000 words ~15 years of brain labor; Reading Time – 5 hours
