The ROI of Leadership Coaching: Realizing Tangible Benefits in Social Impact

The ROI of Leadership Coaching: Realizing Tangible Benefits in Social Impact

Unlocking Leadership Potential through Coaching

Leadership coaching can significantly enhance personal and professional growth. According to the International Coach Federation (ICF), 70% of individuals who receive coaching see improvements in work performance, relationships, and communication skills.

Moreover, a Harvard Business Review study found that 60% of executives reported increased job satisfaction due to coaching, and another survey revealed a remarkable 529% return on investment from executive coaching.

While leadership coaching is often reserved for senior executives, managers, and high-potential employees, its benefits extend far beyond corporate settings. Over 60% of executive team members in Fortune 500 companies receive coaching, underscoring its critical role in leadership development.

Imagining a Greater Impact

Imagine the profound impact if those tackling the world's toughest problems received leadership coaching. With enhanced strategic thinking, emotional intelligence, and communication skills, these leaders could drive transformative global change. Global development and humanitarian professionals could be better prepared to address challenges such as climate change, social inequality, and global health crises.

Introducing the Global Leaders Coaching Program

Recognizing this potential, the WILD Network launched Global Leaders Coaching Program four years ago. Our mission: to provide change-makers at all career stages with the same caliber of leadership development that corporate executives receive.

This coaching program is designed to cultivate impactful leadership in today's dynamic world. It is tailored for global development and humanitarian professionals committed to enhancing their leadership skills, navigating complex challenges, and driving meaningful change within their organizations and communities.

A Track Record of Impact

Over the past four years we have impacted 335 women across 141 organizations from 78 countries.

The results:

  • 92% of participants obtained unexpected insights as a result of coaching.
  • 98% reported that coaching helped them reflect on their current attitudes.
  • 93% indicated that coaching was central to achieving at least one career goal.
  • 96% agreed that through coaching they made progress toward long-term development goals

Scaling Impact

And this number, along with the impact, continues to grow. Our 11th cohort launches this month, supporting 60 global development professionals from 30 countries.

A Personalized Approach

What sets our program apart is its personalized approach. Through one-to-one coaching sessions offered over six months, clients receive the support and generate insights necessary to overcome challenges, maximize potential, and drive positive change within and outside their organizations.

This comprehensive development journey fosters personal growth, emotional intelligence, and strategic acumen, empowering leaders to inspire change and have an even greater impact in their respective fields.

Gratitude and Future Outlook

We are immensely grateful to the coaches who generously volunteer their time to make this possible.

Over four years, the WILD Network has leveraged USD 3.9 million in pro-bono coaching to benefit those on the front lines of addressing the world's most complex problems. I look forward to sharing more outcomes in the coming months.

It's such a privilege to be a leadership coach with this year's cohort! Coaching in the international development and humanitarian sector is such an untapped and underfunded area despite the well studied return on investment. Thank you to WILD Network and Coaching.com Foundation for partnering up to make headway in this area ??
