In recent years, with the increase in electronic components used in automobiles, the number of on-board power systems has also increased, and the demand for primary-side LDOs that can directly reduce battery voltage and supply power to microcontrollers used in ECUs is also increasing. However, the power provided by the on-board battery is prone to sharp voltage fluctuations, so the primary-side LDO is required to have excellent input response characteristics to input voltage fluctuations. At the same time, the load current of LDO downstream devices, including ECUs, is prone to fluctuations during operation, so excellent load response characteristics are required.


On the other hand, in order to improve these characteristics, it is very important to increase the frequency in the frequency characteristics. However, for LDOs, it is difficult to improve the frequency characteristics to a higher level while ensuring the phase margin that contributes to the power supply response performance. high frequency band. ROHM solved this problem using high-speed load response technology "QuiCur?" and greatly improved the response performance of the new product.


The new product adopts ROHM's high-speed load response technology "QuiCur?" and has excellent response characteristics to load current*3 fluctuations. Therefore, even when the input voltage or load current fluctuates, the stable operation required by the application product can be achieved (output voltage fluctuation within 100mV: load current fluctuation 0mA?500mA Tr/Tf=1μ second).


In addition, it also achieves low-current operation with a current consumption of only 9.5μA (Typ. value), helping to reduce power consumption in automotive applications. Not only that, the new product also plans to provide four packaging forms, including small HTSOP-J8 packaging, TO252 packaging with excellent heat dissipation performance (TO252-3/TO252-5) and HRP5 packaging, which customers can flexibly choose according to the use environment.
