So let's start with a joke.

Why don't chatbots ever get lost?

Because they always follow the script!

Which is funny because it's true, or is it?

Technically it's true, Chatbots always follow the script. However, if they are not strictly confined to that script, there's a possibility for deviation, as demonstrated by the Canva GPT model and DPD Chatbot recently.

DPD's chatbot was asked to disregard any rules. It ended up swearing and writing poems about crappy DPD chatbots. (which is hilarious). Needless to say, DPD suspended the chat immediately and is investigating.

Canva also learned this lesson when its GPT model was asked to reveal its custom instructions and it politely did. I tested around 10 GPT models and 9 out of 10 glady revealed their custom instructions.

For chatbots to strictly follow the script, you need to program-specific rules that prevent them from deviating from it.

Future release:

We got a small glimpse of the future last week, a feature popped up in my thread. It ended up crashing my computer all day and then disappeared.

Essentially what we are seeing is ChatGPT's ability to interact with GPT models. This blew my mind! So where could two be better than one:

  1. Problem-Solving: Two GPTs collaborate to find creative solutions faster by pooling their knowledge and strategies. Imagine you assign each one a specific role of expertise.
  2. Role-playing for Training: Simulate sales conversations, with one GPT playing the customer and the other the sales rep, to improve communication skills.
  3. Strategy Development: The GPTs brainstorm together, analyzing data and past performances to refine sales strategies and uncover new opportunities.
  4. Content Creation and Improvement: One GPT drafts sales and marketing content, while the other reviews and enhances it, ensuring high-quality and targeted communication.
  5. Automated Peer Review: One GPT checks the other's customer responses for tone and clarity, helping maintain consistent and effective communication.
  6. Diverse Customer Perspectives: Simulate different stakeholder views in the buying process to tailor sales approaches more effectively.

The possibilities are endless and exciting. It was not announced as a new feature yet, but it can't be too long until we get to play around with it.


Employers take note:

ChatGPT has 1.6 Billion monthly visits and it shows 56.7% of those users are between 18-24%. So your Gen Z employees already leveraging AI tools for a wide range of tasks.

Have you established your Data and Governance policies? Are the guidelines regarding when and how employees may explore new tools in place? Addressing these matters proactively could save you the stress of putting out fires further down the line.
