Roger Plamondon marks his 15-year anniversary at Broccolini by undertaking a series of significant actions and initiatives in the world of real estate

Last Monday, acting in his role as Chairman of the Board of the Urban Development Institute of Quebec, ?Roger Plamondon met with Mr. Pierre Fitzgibbon, Minister of the Economy, to provide him with a comprehensive portrait of the industry and the challenges it’s facing.

The next day, he took part in the presentation of the Vision Bridge-Bonaventure proposition, an innovative development project, which notably received praise from the Mayor of Montreal.

?It was also in the presence of Mayor Valérie Plante, last Wednesday, that Roger Plamondon agreed to co-chair the Grand Chantier de l’Habitation advisory committee created by the City of Montreal. With the support of more than a dozen experts from the community, private, and municipal sectors, the objective of the “Grand Chantier” initiative is to find solutions to the issue of housing affordability in Montreal. It’s also important to mention that Roger Plamondon is a member of the City of Montreal’s “Cellule Facilitatrice”, a public-private entity constituted last February with the aim of facilitating the exchanges between the City and Real Estate Developers.

?And finally, this past Thursday, Roger co-chaired the 2022 Montreal Real Estate Forum, an event that brings together all the partners and stakeholders in the real estate industry. Roger opened the event by riding to the podium on his 100%-electric Harley-Davidson LiveWire; this with the intention of highlighting the importance of environmental criteria in development projects.

?It’s not surprising then, that the daily newspaper La Presse raised the question, in an editorial, whether this signaled the beginning of a new era… If so, Roger Plamondon will assuredly be heavily involved in the transition!
