'Rock Your Impact' In Your Community

An executive MBA (EMBA) degree from Rockhurst can not only change your life, but the lives of those around you.? This community impact is "rocked” most strongly in the work of Rockhurst’s EMBA program alumni. Our current EMBA students and alumni have taken what they learned on our campus and brought it to their neighborhoods and workplaces to make the world a better place.??

Expand your reach with an EMBA??

?Jeffrey Hughley, a captain in the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department and a recent Rockhurst EMBA graduate, is already finding ways to impact others.??

“Previous to this program, I did a lot of volunteering through my fraternity and other organizations,” Hughley said. “This program has pushed me to join different boards, and outside of my profession, to impart new knowledge and skills to help other organizations.”??

?“Even my family and friends have noticed a change in me,” he continued. “Not necessarily in maturity, but in questioning how things are done, implementing changes with processes I didn’t previously have, or improving my time management skills. It’s been a rewarding and valuable program.”?

?Hughley continues to use what he learned at Rockhurst to rethink and retool his approach to complex challenges.??

?Ready to ‘Rock Her Impact’??

?Jamie Wagner, DO, Division Chief of Breast Surgical Oncology and Vice-Chair of Clinical Affairs at The University of Kansas Cancer Center, is also a recent graduate of the Rockhurst EMBA Program. Dr. Wagner knew she needed more leadership experience, and that seeking it would have a ripple effect on? her community.??

?“The Rockhurst EMBA program allowed me to evaluate where I was in my career and have an impact. I want to create an impact in the world every day, but I also want to question how I can continue to use my experiences to motivate and elevate future leaders within health care,”? Wagner said.??

?“What I’ve learned in my time at Rockhurst has allowed me to impact my community. It’s been a bridge to my professional work, but that impact has really been created through community outreach and the work to alleviate health care disparities,” she added. “Through that experience and amazing response, I really changed my mindset, motivation and passion for diving into what can we do to improve our community and the health care treatment that it receives.”?

?About Rockhurst’s EMBA program?

?The Rockhurst University Executive MBA program develops ethical thought leaders who change business for the better. The Helzberg Executive MBA degree provides a values-based immersive learning experience, offering a 360-degree view of leadership. And learning extends far beyond graduation – with the Lifelong Learning program offered exclusively to EMBA alumni, graduates can continue their education through a business school bachelor's or graduate-level class cost-free. This is a testament to how the Rockhurst EMBA is made for individuals ready to significantly advance their careers and organizations throughout their lives.?

?Perhaps most impressively, Rockhurst University is the region's only private AACSB-accredited school. AACSB is an accreditation earned by fewer than 5% of the world's 13,000 business education programs, making the Rockhurst EMBA one of the best executive MBA programs in the country. ?
